Anker’s new USB-C to Lightning cables will go on sale in March
Soon after Griffin and Belkin unveiled their USB-C to Lightning cables, Anker shared with 9to5Mac a preview of its MFi cables.
The PowerLine and PowerLine+ USB-C to Lightning cables are tipped to have a bend lifespan of over 5x greater than every other cable in the market. This is feasible by way of encasing the cable in an aluminum shell and reinforcing it with Anker’s signature braided nylon or aramid fiber for additional energy.
Anker states that these cables will come in 0.8m and 1.8m lengths, and may hit retail cabinets in March. Pricing of the cables will not be obtainable at time of publication.
Anker can be launching the USB-C to Lightning audio adapter in April. It permits iPhone customers to use Apple’s Lightning EarPods, Beats urBeats3 and MFi-certified Lightning to hear to music on Macs with USB-C ports in addition to the 2018 iPad Pro units.
