Huawei’s latest EMUI 9.1 update will improve the P30’s fingerprint scanner performance
Until the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and EMUI 10 arrive, the P30 Pro and EMUI 9.1 remain the Chinese company’s flagship phone and mobile operating system. Speaking of which, Huawei has just rolling out another update for EMUI 9.1.
First to arrive in P30 handsets in China, the new EMUI 220.127.116.11 update comes with a several improvements, chief of which is improved fingerprint scanning performance. There’s also some tweaks to the UI during the fingerprint registration process.
The update also improves audio playback performance for certain games, though it’s unclear which games or what effects are affected.
Finally, the update integrates the official Android July 2019 security patch. Ideally, this should come earlier (Pixel phones already got it early this month); but this is common for OEMs that often need time to beta-test first before releasing a stable build.
