TGS 2019: Contra Rogue Corps playable demo is available now
The much-beloved retro game Contra is getting a new lease of life from Konami. Contra: Rogue Corps is an isometric top-down shooter with its craziness cranked up to eleven. Also, a playable Panda commando!
In a tweet from Konami, the company announced that the playable demo for Contra: Rogue Corps is available for download worldwide on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
According to Gematsu,
The demo will showcase the single-player campaign of the twin-stick, third-person action game, including a playable preview of one of the many large-scale boss battles that will be a part of the final version of the game. Players will complete missions, gathering resources to upgrade their guns and body parts to stay alive in the Damned City. If all else fails, players can bring in a friend online to the campaign and mow-down enemies together. Players will also have access to a local couch co-op mode and unique online player-versus-player mode called Carnage League.
The demo itself will also be a stand-alone and any progress made will not be carried over onto the main game. Contra: Rogue Corps will be available on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 24 in the Americas and Asia, and September 26 in Europe and Japan.
