The PRISM+ X300 is a 30-inch ultra-wide gaming monitor with a 200Hz refresh rate
PRISM+ has announced the X300 gaming monitor, a 30-inch ultra-wide display that boasts an expansive 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1800R curvature. The company is looking to offer the X300 at a similar price point as equivalent 27-inch 144Hz models, so it’s going after your wallet by claiming to offer more bang for your buck. The monitor is available to buy now at just S$399 on PRISM+’s website or Lazada, a pretty attractive price for what it offers.
The panel is a 2,560 x 1,080-pixel VA panel from AU Optronics with a peak brightness of 300 nits. However, one of its key selling points is clearly its native 200Hz refresh rate, which means gameplay should feel super smooth and fluid. Other specifications include a 6ms grey-to-grey response time and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. It supports Adaptive Sync as well, so you can use it with FreeSync if you have an AMD graphics card.
In terms of display inputs, you’ll find one HDMI 2.0, one HDMI 1.4, and one DisplayPort 1.2 connector.
However, the price means that certain compromises have had to be made, and the monitor stand only supports tilt adjustments, with no way to change the height or swivel the screen. VESA mounting is supported though, so you can mount it to your wall.
